KARACHI: The moon for the Islamic month of Rabiul Awwal has been sighted and hence, the 12th Rabiul Awwal will fall on Friday, December 1.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met on Sunday evening for the sighting of the Rabi ul Awwal moon. Committee chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman presided the meeting of the moon sighting body.
The body reviewed testimonies received from different parts of the country pertaining to the Rabiul Awwal moon. Rehman, shortly after the meeting, announced the sighting of the moon.
“Testimonies were received from Multan, Kalat, Jiwani, Zhob and Karachi,” said Mufti Muneebur Rehman.
“The 12th of Rabiul Awwal will be observed on Friday, December 1,” he said.
