ISLAMABAD: Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez Friday lodged complaint with the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) against TV channels for airing allegedly baseless news on his injury.
Hafeez in his complaint had requested PEMRA to take action as per its laws on airing unprofessional and irresponsible reports against him, disseminating one sided views and news, without approaching cricketer and taking his narrative.
He further stated that channels not only declared his injury/sickness fake but also declared his MRI reports as fabricated. These news reports and arguments were made at such an instance when the national team were touring India and he (Hafeez) was representing Pakistan as an ambassador.
The cricketer expressed that such news/views had put him and his family in agony. In pursuance of PEMRA laws, complaint of Mohammad Hafeez is referred to PEMRA Council of Complaints, Lahore, for action.
