KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Adviser on Information Maula Bux Chandio on Saturday visited the residence of renowned Qawwal Ajmad Sabri and offered condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
They were accompanied by Special Assistant Rashid Rabbani and MNA Nafisa Shah MNA. They condoled with the mother and brother of Amjad Sabri, who was gunned down in Karachi on Wednesday. On the occasion, they expressed their profound grief and recalled the deceased’s extraordinary contribution towards the art of Qawwali and Sufism.
Chandio stated that the services of the deceased would long be remembered. They assured the family members that the killers would be brought to book and that every possible step was being taken in this regard. They said that the investigation agencies have been directed to arrest the culprits who are involved in such an incident.
“We have been deprived of an eminent Qawwal who was the identity of Pakistan,” he said. Chandio also said that the services of the late Amjad Sabri would be long remembered.
