ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) organises an anti-polio walk at the launching ceremony of Polio drive on Monday.
Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz would inaugurate the drive by vaccinating polio drops to three children of less than five years age. CDA Health Services Directorate Director General Hassan Arooj said that the walk would be held at service road of Sector F-11/4 in which students of schools, representatives of United Nations Children Fund, World Health Organisation (WHO) and local representatives of Rotary Club would participate.
While people from different walks of life are also welcome to take part in it. The aim of the moot is to create awareness among masses against the harmful effects of the crippling disease and devise a comprehensive mechanism to start collective efforts for eradicating it completely. The drive will continue till September 30.
